Position Overview:
The Elevator Operator is responsible for leading grain receiving and cleaning operations at the elevator. This role includes staging grain for processing, performing quality checks, and assisting with elevator maintenance and repairs. The Elevator Operator plays a key part in ensuring efficient production flow and maintaining facility sanitation.
Experience & Qualifications:

Strong mechanical aptitude and proven work experience required

2+ years of relevant maintenance or mechanical experience preferred

Ability to operate and maintain grain handling equipment

Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

Commitment to safety and teamwork
Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain elevator receiving, conveying, and grain cleaning equipment

Perform and document all maintenance activities using work order forms

Weigh inbound grain trucks (loaded and empty), issue scale tickets, and maintain accurate records

Conduct and document quality testing of incoming grain to determine acceptance criteria, clean, and store accordingly

Load and weigh outbound feed/by-product shipments

Assist with production, packaging, and loading outbound shipments as needed to meet schedules

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the grain elevator, mill elevator, scales, office dump pits, railroad line, bulk truck load-out, warehouse, and facility grounds

Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth operations

Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Management
Work Environment:
While the primary work area is the grain elevator, responsibilities extend to the entire facility and surrounding grounds. Clear and consistent communication with team members is essential for operational success.
