Manufacturing Associate

Location: Leeds, North Dakota

Pay: $18/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Employment Type: Full-Time

We currently have immediate openings for Mill Operators at our grain elevator working with black pinto beans and pearled/dehulled barley. We’re looking for dependable individuals who can start as soon as possible and are seeking long-term employment (6–8 months). A lodging stipend is included if hired for this position.

General Responsibilities:

· Strive to produce the highest quality product possible from the raw product received.

· Maintain a respectful and professional demeanor toward coworkers, farmers, truck drivers, and all others on-site.

· Politely question anyone on-site whose authorization may not have to be there.

· Understand and follow all food safety protocols to ensure safe, quality products for customers.

Working Environment:

Help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient facility by:

· Regularly sweeping up and removing product spills.

· Keeping the general area around machines clean and free of debris.

· Removing accumulated dust from equipment, beams, railings, and steps.

· Inspecting walls, ceilings, doors, and windows to prevent pest or bird intrusion.

· Reporting or removing potential pest harborage areas (e.g., clutter, pallets, vegetation near walls).

· Wearing clean, job-appropriate clothing free from grease, oil, or paint.

Specific Job Functions:

· Observe and monitor equipment performance during operation.

· Ensure equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.

· Perform minor repairs or report maintenance issues as needed.

· Record inspections, maintenance actions, and product sample results accurately.

· Collect and grade product samples at designated intervals under the direction of the Plant or Quality Manager.

Requirements:

· Frequent standing, walking, lifting, climbing stairs, and repetitive movements.

· Ability to handle heavy lifting and work in a fast-paced, noisy production environment.

· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

· Must not be allergic to barley or latex.

· Strong attention to detail and good penmanship are essential.

· Prior production line experience preferred.

· Mechanical knowledge and forklift experience are a plus.

· Seeking individuals with reliable attendance and interest in 6–8 months of steady work.
