Sanitation Team Member
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Tuesday through Saturday
Work Location: Grand Forks, ND
Pay Rate: $19/hr

Key Responsibilities
Safe Equipment Operation & Maintenance
-
Perform routine and non-routine sanitation of production and facility equipment.

Ensure all equipment and surfaces meet food safety standards before use.

Follow established safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
Product Handling & Quality Control
-
Follow company procedures for material handling and retention sample collection.
-
Maintain accurate chemical inventories and ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices.
Food Safety & Sanitation Compliance
-
Adhere to GMP, HACCP, SQF, FSMA, and other food safety programs.
-
Maintain cleanliness throughout all areas of the plant.

Report any food safety or quality concerns immediately.
Team Collaboration & Support
-
Assist teammates and adapt to changing production needs.
-
Contribute to productivity, safety, and quality goals.

Support training and cross-functional sanitation activities as needed.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
Qualifications
Education & Experience
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing or food production sanitation preferred.

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Technical & Mechanical Skills
-
Basic mechanical aptitude; ability to identify and report equipment issues.
-
Familiarity with production equipment and sanitation procedures.
-
Basic computer literacy and math skills required; SAP or inventory experience preferred.
Safety & Compliance
-
Understanding of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
-
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., push or pull heavy loads, and stand/walk for long periods.

Ability to work in wet or humid environments and around moving machinery.
Communication & Teamwork

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

Stand or walk for extended periods (up to 90% of the shift).

Must wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Exposure to varying temperatures, wet conditions, moving machinery, and cleaning chemicals.
