Agriculture / Chemical Plant Operator
Express Employment Professionals – Grand Forks, ND
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: Starting at $20/hr (based on experience)
Overtime: Occasional Saturdays
Job Summary:
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable Agriculture / Chemical Plant Operator to support plant and warehouse operations for a leading agricultural facility in Grand Forks, ND. This role is responsible for handling raw materials, operating production equipment, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. This is a seasonal opportunity with potential for long-term placement based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload raw materials and finished products from trucks and railcars
- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely
- Perform daily inventory checks and report discrepancies
- Operate production equipment including pumps, blenders, reactors, and scales
- Monitor charts, meters, and gauges to ensure accurate production
- Collect, label, and deliver product samples for testing
- Package and label materials according to company and regulatory standards
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and report concerns
- Assist in completing production batches per instructions
- Maintain proper documentation and communicate daily activities
- Support other departments, including maintenance, as needed
- Ensure facility cleanliness and follow all safety guidelines
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience preferred
- Previous experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or chemical processing is a plus
- Forklift experience required or willingness to be trained
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work in a moderately loud environment
