Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 5-Axis CNC Machine Operator to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating and setting up 5-axis CNC machines to produce complex, high-precision components for military aircraft. The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing, a strong understanding of machining processes, and proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and CAD/CAM programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and set up 5-axis CNC machines to manufacture precision parts for military aircraft.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM programs to ensure accurate production.
- Monitor machine operations and perform in-process inspections to maintain quality standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
- Adhere to military specifications (MIL-SPEC) and quality control procedures throughout the production process.
Required Experience
- Previous experience as a 5-axis CNC machine operator, preferably in military or aerospace manufacturing.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Hands-on experience with CAD and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Siemens NX, CATIA).
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
- Proven ability to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Familiarity with MIL-SPEC standards and quality control protocols.

- Ability to operate and set up 5-axis CNC machines independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of quality assurance practices and inspection tools.
- Comfortable using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Manual dexterity and good vision for detailed inspection and machine operation.
