Are you organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain operations? We are seeking an Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator to support purchasing activities, inventory control, and material coordination for ongoing projects. This is a long-term opportunity with a growing company that values teamwork, efficiency, and strong communication.
Responsibilities
- Source and purchase electrical materials, equipment, and tools
- Obtain vendor quotes and compare pricing, quality, and delivery timelines
- Create and track purchase orders through delivery
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and distributors
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of stock materials
- Work with warehouse personnel to maintain accurate inventory records
- Assist in reducing excess inventory and material waste
- Coordinate material deliveries to project sites
- Communicate with project managers and field personnel regarding material availability and lead times
- Track material costs and assist with budget management
- Verify invoices and resolve discrepancies involving purchase orders, deliveries, and billing
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
- Research new products and suppliers to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Qualifications
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, supply chain operations, or electrical construction preferred
- Knowledge of electrical materials and industry terminology is a plus
- Proficient with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with ERP systems, purchasing software, or project management platforms is beneficial
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for periods of time
- Ability to communicate effectively by phone with field personnel and vendors
