Experienced Screw Machine Operator (Acme/New Britain/Wickman)

Location: Chickasha Ok.
Schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift
Pay: Competitive, Based on Experience $20.00 and up.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Screw Machine Operator with hands-on experience operating and setting up Acme, New Britain, and/or Wickman multi-spindle screw machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, be quality-focused, and possess the ability to maintain production requirements while producing precision-machined components.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Acme, New Britain, and/or Wickman screw machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Adjust machine settings and tooling to maintain product specifications.
• Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Monitor production runs and make necessary machine adjustments.
• Change tooling, cutters, drills, and inserts as required.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean work area.
• Document production and quality information accurately.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating and setting up Acme, New Britain, or Wickman screw machines.
• Strong understanding of machining principles and metalworking processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting machine and tooling issues.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-spindle screw machines.
• Experience in New Britton/ Acme/ Wickman screw machines
• Knowledge of SPC and quality control procedures.
• Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Tooling and machine maintenance experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and moderate noise levels.
