What You'll Do
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered equipment and vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative service
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine effective repair solutions
- Inspect tools, equipment, and components to ensure proper operation and compliance with specifications
- Assist with additional maintenance and repair tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
What We're Looking For
- Previous diesel mechanic experience is required
- Ability to diagnose and repair diesel engines and mechanical systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in diesel repair
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality
- Good attendance and reliability
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training or certification in Automotive or Diesel Technology
Physical Requirements
- Frequent use of hand and power tools
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks
- Lift, bend, kneel, stoop, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in a shop environment
