Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Water Truck / Heavy Equipment Operator / Roller Operator to join our construction team. This position is responsible for operating water trucks, rollers, and other heavy equipment to support road construction, site preparation, paving, and earthwork projects. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate water trucks to control dust and assist with soil compaction.
- Operate rollers on asphalt, gravel, and dirt surfaces to achieve proper compaction.
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers, excavators, and other construction equipment as needed.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs.
- Follow site plans, project specifications, and supervisor instructions.
- Assist with general labor duties when equipment operation is not required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating water trucks, rollers, or other heavy equipment preferred.
- Valid driver's license required
- Knowledge of construction site safety practices.
- Ability to perform equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
- Strong attendance record and reliability.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
