Electrical Maintenance Technician
Position Summary
Seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform basic electrical maintenance, installation, and repair work in residential and commercial environments. This position requires hands-on experience with minor electrical installations, the ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace electrical components such as outlets, plugs, switches, ceiling fans, light fixtures, and similar equipment.
- Assist with residential and light commercial electrical installations.
- Read and follow work orders, instructions, and safety procedures.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as needed.
- Perform work in indoor and outdoor environments under varying conditions.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of residential electrical systems and minor electrical installations.
- Experience wiring outlets, plugs, ceiling fans, lighting fixtures, and other common electrical components.
- Familiarity with electrical safety practices and proper tool usage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Previous electrical maintenance or handyman experience.
- Understanding of basic electrical troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to perform general maintenance tasks in addition to electrical work.
