Shift Hours: Flexible coverage needed between 5:00 AM and 11:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking reliable, skilled Cooks and Culinary Specialists to join a local dining and food service team in Guthrie. In this role, you will play a vital part in preparing balanced, high-quality meals in a structured facility environment. Positions cover a broad spectrum of kitchen responsibilities—ranging from fundamental food prep and station assembly to full scratch-cooking and high-volume meal execution.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare meals across various operational levels, including basic prep work (chopping, slicing, portioning) and scratch-cooking main entrées, sides, and baked goods.
Operate standard commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (griddles, ovens, fryers, steam kettles, slicers).
Follow standardized recipes, portion controls, and meal plans to ensure consistency and quality.
Maintain clean, organized prep and cooking areas in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP / local health codes).
Assist with inventory receiving, proper food storage (labeling, dating, rotation), and restocking line stations.
Support kitchen setup, service line maintenance, and end-of-shift cleanup and sanitation procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Prior culinary or commercial food service experience preferred (pay rate determined by level of prep/cooking experience).
Knowledge: Working understanding of food handling safety, proper cooking temperatures, and kitchen equipment operation.
Skills: Ability to follow written recipes, handle basic kitchen math, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40–50 lbs periodically, and work safely around hot surfaces and machinery.
Reliability: Dependable attendance and punctuality to support early morning, mid-day, or evening meal services.
