Position: Resident AdvisorPay Rate: $18.00 / hourJob Type: Full-TimeShift Options:Prime Shift: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AMOvernight Shift: 11:30 PM – 8:00 AM(Additional shift opportunities available as needed)JOB SUMMARYWe are seeking dedicated and safety-minded Resident Advisors to join our team. The Resident Advisor provides supervision, mentoring, and support to young adults in a residential living environment. This role is vital to ensuring a safe, secure, and positive atmosphere where students can develop valuable life skills, achieve academic success, and prepare for career opportunities.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStudent Supervision & Safety: Maintain active supervision of students in assigned dormitories to ensure a secure, respectful, and structured environment. Conduct regular facility checks and enforce center rules and safety guidelines.Mentorship & Support: Act as a positive role model and mentor. Guide students through daily routines, assist with personal or social challenges, and conduct dormitory meetings to resolve minor conflicts.Dormitory Operations: Perform logbook entries, record daily activities, track student accountability, and ensure accurate recordkeeping throughout the shift.Facility Maintenance & Cleanliness: Monitor dorm cleanliness, organize student chore routines, schedule cleanups, and submit maintenance repair requests as needed to maintain high living standards.Program Facilitation: Direct and assist with dormitory activities, intramural programs, and recreational events to foster teamwork and student engagement.Cross-Department Collaboration: Communicate regularly with counselors, instructors, and security personnel to monitor student progress and maintain overall campus safety.QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent required; background in human services, education, security, or social work preferred.Experience: Previous experience working with youth, young adults, residential care, or group home facilities is highly desirable.Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle conflict with patience, fairness, and professionalism.Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making skills and the ability to maintain composure in fast-paced or unexpected situations.Requirements: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Valid driver's license preferred for student transport activities.
