Location: Edmond, OK
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay: $20.00-$26.00/hour DOE

Job Overview
Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator for a growing truck equipment and fabrication company in the Edmond area. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual who enjoys working independently and has strong welding, mechanical, and fabrication skills. The role involves building, modifying, and installing truck beds and equipment while working with welding, hydraulics, electrical systems, and truck chassis modifications.

Primary Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding and fabrication on truck beds, equipment, and structural components
- Read tape measures, fabrication drawings, and shop instructions accurately
- Operate plasma cutters, oxy-fuel torches, grinders, and other fabrication equipment
- Fabricate, shorten, lengthen, and modify truck frames as needed
- Install truck bodies, beds, and related equipment
- Wire truck lighting, accessories, and electrical components
- Troubleshoot electrical wiring and equipment issues
- Build, install, and repair hydraulic hoses and hydraulic systems
- Operate forklifts daily to move materials and finished products
- Prepare surfaces and paint truck beds and fabricated components using spray equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Complete projects independently while communicating effectively with supervisors
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of welding and fabrication experience
- Strong MIG welding skills required
- Aluminum welding experience is a plus
- Ability to pass a pre-employment welding test
- Previous experience in:
- Truck equipment installation
- Truck body manufacturing
- Utility bed installation
- Trailer fabrication
- Heavy equipment fabrication
- Fleet maintenance
- Hydraulic systems
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Forklift operating experience required
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of PTO systems and basic hydraulic operation preferred
- Experience with industrial painting is a plus

Work Environment
- Fabrication and truck equipment shop environment
- Work performed indoors and outdoors as needed
- Exposure to heat during summer months and cold temperatures during winter months
- Physical requirements include standing, bending, lifting, climbing, and working with heavy materials throughout the day
- Must be comfortable getting dirty and working in a hands-on industrial setting
Compensation & Benefits
- $20.00-$26.00 per hour depending on experience
- Weekly pay
- Full-time schedule with consistent 40-hour work weeks
