Water Systems Technician
Location: Edmond, OK
Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Daytime Hours (No regular weekend work)
Pay: ~$20.00/hour (Depending on Experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and mechanically inclined Water Systems Technician to join a premier water treatment and filtration provider in Edmond.
In this role, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining residential and commercial water treatment systems (such as softeners, filtration systems, and reverse osmosis units). If you enjoy hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and providing excellent service to customers, this is a great opportunity with a stable Monday through Friday schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Assembly: Install, set up, and test residential and commercial water treatment equipment according to job specifications.
Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine system maintenance, filter replacements, and system tune-ups.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose plumbing, electrical, or mechanical issues within water filtration and softening units.
Customer Service: Interact professionally with homeowners and business owners, explaining system operations and answering basic technical questions.
Vehicle & Inventory Management: Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and keep accurate records of tools, equipment, and inventory used.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Background in plumbing, water treatment, mechanical assembly, or field service technology is preferred.
Technical Aptitude: Comfort using hand/power tools and working with piping, fittings, and basic electrical control panels.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues independently and efficiently.
Customer-Focused: Strong communication skills and a clean, professional appearance.
Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation. Physical capability to lift heavy equipment/salt bags (up to 50+ lbs) as required.
