Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring an Agricultural Mechanic for a local seed and gardening store. The Agricultural Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and repairing of a wide variety of industrial and farming equipment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot repairs on equipment and trucks, both on location and out in the field.
- Repair and replace electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic components such as motors, contactors, relays, timers, switches, motor controls and valves.
- Possess interest to be taught how to operate and maintain a large capacity seed cleaner.
- Assist co-workers with fertilizer, warehouse and grounds maintenance operations as necessary.
- Order parts and equipment economically.
- Keep thorough records of maintenance performed and expenses.
- Cross-train as needed on additional processes.
Pay: $25.00+/HR DOE
Schedule: 8:00am-5:30pm Monday - Friday; Occasional mandatory OT on Saturdays
Requirements:
- 5+ years of mechanical repair experience, ideally in an agricultural environment.
- Experience in hydraulics, electrical repair, and welding/fabricating preferred.
- Experience in Excel and/or Word to track maintenance activities.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Able to operate a forklift and tractor.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work in high spaces.
