We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at our woodshop, where we handcraft high-quality wooden furniture. As a Shop Hand, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in woodworking, machine operation, furniture assembly, finishing, and shipping. This is a rewarding position for those looking to grow in the craft of woodworking and be a part of a skilled and passionate team.
Responsibilities:
Machine Operation: Learn to operate and maintain woodworking machinery such as planers, wood presses, molders, and miter saws under supervision.
Furniture Assembly: Assist in the assembly of custom wood furniture, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
Finishing and Painting: Gain experience in applying finishes, stains, and paints to furniture, bringing each piece to life with a professional touch.
Packaging & Shipping: Learn how to package and wrap finished products securely for shipment to customers, ensuring safe delivery of high-quality items.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure smooth workflow, quality control, and timely completion of orders.
Skills & Qualifications:
Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Ability to follow instructions and work safely with power tools and machinery.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift items as needed.
Previous woodworking or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
