What You Get to Do!

The Vice President of Accounting and Finance is a key executive leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting functions within the organization. This position plays a strategic role in driving financial performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting business objectives. The VP will provide financial leadership in a manufacturing environment, ensuring cost control, profitability, and operational efficiency. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, cost accounting, and risk management.
•    Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives and long-term growth plans.
•    Oversee all accounting and financial functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
•    Lead and manage the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, providing insights into operational performance and opportunities for improvement.
•    Direct and oversee cost accounting processes, ensuring accurate tracking of manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and cost reduction initiatives.
•    Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and all relevant regulatory and tax requirements.
•    Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions, ensuring proper financial oversight and reporting.
•    Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, leveraging technology and automation to increase efficiency and accuracy.
•    Provide financial leadership in capital investments, M&A opportunities, and strategic business initiatives.
•    Partner with the executive leadership team to develop pricing strategies, supply chain efficiencies, and operational cost management.
•    Lead and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development.
•    Evaluate financial risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect company assets and ensure business continuity.
•    Oversee treasury management, including cash flow forecasting, debt management, and financial risk assessment.
•    Ensure robust financial controls and policies are in place to safeguard company resources and drive financial discipline.
•    Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to optimize working capital and drive cost efficiencies within the manufacturing environment.

What You Will Bring...
•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
•    Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
•    Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and financial reporting in a manufacturing setting.
•    Expertise in ERP systems, financial modeling, and data analytics.
•    Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
•    Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience working cross-functionally with executive leadership and operational teams.
•    Proven experience in driving cost efficiencies, profitability, and financial stability in a complex manufacturing operation.
•    Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, internal controls, and risk management.
•    Experience in mergers and acquisitions, capital investment planning, and financial restructuring is a plus.
