One of Central Oregon’s leading Commercial GCs is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team!
What You Get to Do!
The Project Engineer supports the Project Manager and the Superintendent in overall project coordination. This position will work both in the field and main office, as the project dictates. The Project Engineer has the authority to act on behalf of the Project Manager in his or her absence. Often times a Project Engineer will be assigned smaller projects to manage on their own. This position reports directly to the Project Manager.
• Perform material quantity take-offs and estimating.
• Assist the Project Managers with subcontractor bid solicitation and analyzing bids.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of subcontract agreements, the scope of work, and project finish schedules.
• Manage contract drawing disbursement with all subcontractors.
• Assist with material procurement and inspection of deliveries.
• Help administer and maintain document control (RFI, Submittal and Meeting Minutes)
• Assist with managing and updating project schedule.
• Assist with approving vendor invoices.
• Assist with Change Order Management.
• Assist Project Manager’s with submittal reviews, including structural shop drawings.
• Promote job site safety and enforce safe work practices.
• Manage project closeout and punch list procedures.
• Assist Superintendent in maintaining a complete set of current as-built construction documents.
• Assist Superintendent with hard copies of approved submittals and samples in the field.
• Assist Superintendent with quality control procedures as need.
What You Will Bring…
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and employ effective listening skills.
• Proficient in all computer programs as defined necessary by management. (Procore, Microsoft Project, Sage, Sage paperless, Bluebeam, OnScreen Take Off, Excel, Word, and Outlook.)
• Strong organizational and time management skills and have the ability to multi-task.
