Job Full Description
We are working with an industry leader that is seeking a Staff Accountant for an in-office role.
What You Get to Do!
Under the direct supervision of the Controller, the Accountant/Accounting Specialist provides general support to the business office for accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and support for high level business processes including budgeting, auditing, financial reporting, and analysis.
• Facilitates payment of vendors - reviewing verifying and entering invoices, reviewing purchase orders, resolving discrepancies, ensuring accuracy of vendor information and processing payments according to company policies.
o Daily issuing credits (Special order Vendor Returns)
o Works with Sales/Operations to troubleshoot inventory challenges.
• Reconcile monthly vendor statements.
• Assists with journal entries and financial statements.
• Assist with the balancing of bank accounts.
• Other related duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring…
• 3 Years’ experience in accounting.
• Associates degree in Accounting preferred.
• Knowledge of Generally accepted Accounting Practices.
• Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
• Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
• Lift up to 35 lbs., prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
