Pay: $20-$25 DOE
Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Job Description:
Operates basic saw types such as pop-up, miter, web saws, etc. to cut planks, timbers, or boards according to work orders by performing the following duties.
- Reviews work order to determine cut(s) to be made.
- Adjusts saw for required cuts.
- Adjusts speed of saw and feed rolls.
- Observes automatic feeding of lumber to saw or pushes end of lumber into feed rolls.
- Stacks cut lumber after processing.
- Advises supervisor of dull saw blades.
- Other duties as assigned

Mathematical Skills - Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to read at tape measure at 1/16 inch. Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Other Skills and Abilities - Must be able to identify species, size, and grade of lumber.
