Retail Bakery Associate
Location: Sisters, Oregon
Employment Type: Full-Time/Part-Time
Pay Rate: $19.00
Hours: 20-40 hrs per week
Job Summary:
The Baker is responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods from scratch or mixes, ensuring quality, consistency, and freshness. This role requires attention to detail, time management, and a passion for baking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake breads, pastries, cookies, and other baked goods according to recipes and production schedules.
- Measure and mix ingredients using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment.
- Monitor baking process and adjust temperatures and timing as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of baking area and equipment.
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and finished products.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Assist with inventory and ordering of baking supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous baking experience preferred.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
