Job Full Description
One of Central Oregon leading Commercial Construction teams is growing and adding a Senior Project Manager to their team!
Summary of Position:
The Senior Project Manager provides managerial oversight to a construction project or in most cases, multiple projects at one time. This position will follow the project(s) from pre-construction to project closeout and is responsible for the overall direction, administration, completion, and financial outcome of the project. The Senior Project Manager works closely with the Architect, Engineers, Design Consultant, and Client to clearly understand the vision of the project. This position will report directly to the President of the company.
Responsibilities:
• Understand the client’s priorities and expectations.
• Understand the pre-construction process from the conceptual phase to GMP development.
• Work closely with the owner, design team on value engineering when needed.
• Have a thorough understanding of blueprints, architectural details, and construction layouts.
• Set’s example of safety standards by always wearing PPE on the job site.
• Assemble thorough and detailed construction estimates.
• Complete scope review, bid analysis, and award of sub-contracts.
• Produce and submit Owner contract document.
• Assist in staffing each project adequately.
• Assist Superintendent with developing Project Master Schedule and ensure project materials are ordered on schedule.
• Work closely with Superintendent to provide accurate project status reports to the owner and project team.
• Review and Approve Submittals.
• Manage change order and contingency processes.
• Identify, understand, and actively manage project risks by producing projected cost to complete reports on a monthly basis.
• Approve subcontractor invoices for payment.
• Provide Accounting Department with accurate project cost data for monthly owner billings.
• Visit job sites regularly and work with superintendents on quality control.
• Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand the company's capabilities.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.
• Participate in collecting, managing, and reporting accurate client database and revenue goals for pre-construction and construction services.
• Ensure project closeout procedures and requirements are met.
Requirements:
• Display strong written and verbal communication skills and employ effective listening skills.
• Demonstrate proficiency in all computer programs as defined necessary by management. (Procore, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Bluebeam.)
• Reliable, respectful and have strong team management skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Lead, support, and promote the company’s values, mission, and philosophy.
Certificates & Licenses:
• Current First Aid/CPR certificate a plus
• LEED AP a plus
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent 8 years work experience.
