Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Forklift Driver & Showroom Guide. This dual-role position involves guiding customers through our showroom and warehouse to help them select products, while also handling the safe movement of slabs and materials using a forklift. The ideal candidate is personable, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in the showroom and warehouse, guiding them through product selection.
- Operate forklifts to move slabs and materials within the warehouse and on/off delivery trucks.
- Ensure safe handling and transport of products, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a polite and professional demeanor.
- Use computers and phones to manage inventory, customer inquiries, and product information.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and showroom environment.
- Lift up to 50 lbs manually; heavier loads will be assisted by machinery.
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the day.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating a forklift (certification provided if needed).
- Proven customer service experience with a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Comfortable using computers and phones for basic tasks.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Safety-conscious and physically capable of manual labor.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
Work Environment:
- Warehouse and showroom setting.
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and operating machinery.
- Interaction with customers and team members throughout the day.
