Job Full Description
Summary:
The Technician is responsible for assembly, testing, troubleshooting and repairing of the oxygen breathing apparatus such as Face Masks and Cannulas and various assemblies. Work will largely entail production assembly as well as diagnostic and repairs of items returned for service or upgrades.
Qualified personnel will possess:
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong mechanical, hand tool and soldering skills.
• Have good understanding of mechanical and assembly skills.
• Have good computer skills and be able to use Microsoft Windows.
• Be a highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently as well as with others.
• Be well organized and able to multi-task.
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess a good understanding of basic math.
• Be able to learn the use of electronic and pneumatic test equipment.
• Be able to understand verbal instructions.
• Be able to read and understand technical drawings, data sheets and written work instructions.
• Works closely with team leaders, supervisors and managers.
• Confidence around high pressure gas conditions.
• Adherence to safety and regulatory requirements
Mandatory: Having prior experience and training in mechanical and basic electronic knowledge.
Electronic and mechanical assembly (Training will include, but not limited to)
• Use of electronic, hand and power tools.
• Use of electronic and pneumatic test equipment to evaluate and document completed work.
• Fabrication of small parts and electric assemblies.
• Experience or interest in Aviation is a plus.
