Sanitation – Food Processing Facility
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Pay: $18.00–$20.00 DOE
Location: Redmond
Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Sanitation associate to oversee the cleanliness and sanitation of our food processing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with food safety standards, lead a team of sanitation workers, and maintain a safe, clean working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate industrial cleaning tasks to maintain sanitary work areas
- Oversee the sanitization of equipment and surfaces
- Implement and enforce food cleanliness protocols
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety requirements and FDA/USDA food cleanliness standards
- Develop and maintain cleaning schedules and procedures
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning activities
- Troubleshoot sanitation issues and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and inspections
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in food safety or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in industrial or commercial cleaning, preferably in food processing environments
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Familiarity with OSHA, FDA, and USDA standards
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and solvents
- Leadership experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines
- Positive demeanor and enthusiasm for the work
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
Physical Demands
- Regular lifting up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, and crouch for extended periods
- Comfortable working with industrial cleaning solvents and equipment

- Food processing facility

- Exposure to various cleaning chemicals and industrial equipment
- May involve working in temperature-controlled environments
