Job Full Description

Keep Things Running. Make Things Better.
Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, improving systems, and finding ways to make operations safer and more efficient? Do you like variety in your work, collaborating with different teams, and taking ownership of projects that make a lasting impact?  We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician who brings technical expertise, curiosity, and a continuous-improvement mindset to our team.

In this role, you'll do more than maintain equipment and fix breakdowns. You'll play an important part in keeping our production systems and facility infrastructure running reliably while helping drive long-term improvements in safety, efficiency, capacity, and compliance. Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Health & Safety, Supply Chain, and external vendors, you'll have the opportunity to solve problems, support new equipment installations, and make a meaningful contribution to our operation.
If you're energized by hands-on technical work and enjoy figuring out how to make things work better, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Do
Preventive Maintenance & Reliability
•    Perform preventive maintenance on site utilities, and facility infrastructure to support safe, reliable operations.
•    Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts, and materials used.
•    Partner with Engineering to develop preventive maintenance programs for new equipment and utilities.
•    Coordinate maintenance activities with Operations to minimize disruption to production.
•    Manage outside vendor support for maintenance activities, including obtaining quotes, scheduling work, conducting safety orientations, and coordinating permits.
Troubleshooting & Repair
•    Troubleshoot equipment and utility issues in collaboration with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations.
•    Investigate root causes of equipment failures and performance issues, identifying opportunities to prevent recurring problems.
•    Ensure the right parts, tools, drawings, and resources are available to complete repairs safely and efficiently.
•    Recommend and initiate improvement projects that enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
•    Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to implement improvements that increase safety, efficiency, and operational performance.
•    Support the safe installation, startup, and integration of new tools and equipment.
•    Provide hands-on mechanical and fabrication support to the broader Operations team.
•    Contribute ideas and practical solutions that improve how our facility and production systems operate.

What You Bring
We're looking for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude, a practical approach to problem-solving, and the enthusiasm to work across teams. You'll be comfortable rolling up your sleeves, learning new systems, and taking initiative when you see an opportunity to improve something.
Your experience and technical skills include:
•    1–3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial plant or field service environment.
•    Experience with facility utilities such as plumbing, compressed air, HVAC, building automation, and fire suppression systems.
•    Knowledge of electrical control circuits and troubleshooting pumps, motors, and other industrial electrical and mechanical systems.
•    Experience troubleshooting and installing programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
•    A solid understanding of pneumatic systems used in production equipment, including cylinders, manifolds, and valve assemblies.
•    The ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
•    Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
•    The ability to assess risks, prioritize work, solve problems, and meet deadlines without compromising safety.

Just as important, you'll bring:
•    Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
•    A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and outside vendors.
•    Initiative, sound judgment, and a commitment to safe work practices.
•    Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and a genuine interest in what we do!
