Job Full Description
Keep Production Moving. Build Better Solutions.
Are you a skilled technician or mechanic who enjoys troubleshooting complex machinery, getting hands-on with repairs, and finding ways to make equipment perform better? Do you thrive in a manufacturing environment where no two days are exactly alike, and your technical skills make a real difference? We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to keep our production equipment running safely, reliably, and efficiently.
This is an opportunity to do more than fix machines. You'll play a critical role in equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, fabrication, and continuous improvement. Working alongside Production, Engineering, Health & Safety, Supply Chain, and outside vendors, you'll help minimize downtime, solve challenging technical problems, and contribute ideas that make our operation better.
If you're mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and energized by hands-on work, we'd love to meet you!
What You'll Do
Preventive Maintenance & Equipment Reliability
• Perform scheduled uptime and downtime inspections, lubrication, and preventive maintenance in accordance with established procedures.
• Safely dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble complex industrial machinery with precision and attention to detail.
• Inspect machine components using appropriate measurement tools and instruments.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, monitoring stock levels and coordinating orders as needed.
• Verify equipment is safe and ready for operation before coordinating with Production to resume manufacturing.
• Follow and reinforce safety requirements, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), fall protection, hot work, and other applicable procedures.
• Share knowledge and provide training to equipment operators and fellow maintenance team members.
Troubleshooting & Repair
• Diagnose equipment problems by observing machinery in operation, testing electrical circuits, and identifying the root cause of failures.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Use technical manuals, schematics, parts diagrams, online resources, and vendor expertise to identify solutions and complete repairs.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues across departments through in-person conversations, phone, email, and radio.
• Identify and implement improvements to equipment, maintenance documentation, work systems, and processes.
• Escalate technical, procedural, or personnel-related concerns to the appropriate lead or supervisor.
Fabrication & Continuous Improvement
• Safely set up, operate, and break down manual and machine tools.
• Turn, mill, drill, shape, weld, and grind machine components to meet specifications.
• Operate cutting, welding, and fabrication equipment to cut, form, and join materials.
• Participate in Kaizen teams and continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment performance, efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in quality workmanship, approaches challenges methodically, and understands the importance of safe, dependable manufacturing operations. Qualifications and technical experience:
• Associate degree in industrial machinery or a related technical field.
• 1–3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and industrial safety practices.
• Good time-management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Strong computer, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and equipment manuals.
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience with CAD/CAM software, ideally SolidWorks or Autodesk Fusion 360.
• Hands-on experience with machining, welding, and fabrication.
• An interest in continuous improvement, process optimization, and collaborative problem-solving.
Just as important, you'll bring enthusiasm, initiative, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. You'll be comfortable working with multiple teams, communicating issues clearly, and taking ownership of the quality and safety of your work.
