Job Full Description

This is a fully onsite role.  We are seeking a versatile Electrical Engineer to join its New Product Development team. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who brings a blend of electrical hardware design and embedded firmware experience and enjoys taking concepts from the drawing board to actual working designs. The ideal candidate has experience translating product requirements and concepts into electrical designs, developing and integrating embedded firmware, and influencing hardware architecture and design decisions. This role offers the opportunity to expand into broader software development and system-level architecture, helping shape the technical direction of future products and next-generation platforms.

What You'll Do
As an Electrical Engineer on the New Product Development team, you will play an important role in the design, development, and evolution of next-generation products.
Hardware Design & Architecture
•    Take product concepts and functional requirements and translate them into practical electrical designs and working prototypes.
•    Develop electrical schematics, circuit designs, and hardware solutions from initial concept through testing, validation, and production.
•    Contribute to hardware architecture and electrical design for new product development initiatives.
•    Influence hardware design decisions to ensure performance, reliability, scalability, and long-term product viability.
•    Evaluate components, circuitry, interfaces, and system-level design considerations.
•    Participate in design reviews and provide technical input on hardware solutions.
•    Work close to the hardware, developing solutions that optimize performance, functionality, and system integration.
•    Support debugging, testing, and validation at both the board and system levels.
New Product Development & Collaboration
•    Work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
•    Translate product requirements into practical hardware and embedded solutions.
•    Participate in prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and product launches.
•    Support the transition of designs from prototype to production.
•    Contribute to continuous improvement of existing products and development processes.

What You'll Bring
•    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering,
•    Demonstrated experience taking engineering concepts from initial idea through electrical design, prototyping, testing, and refinement.
•    Experience with electrical hardware design, circuit development, and hardware architecture.
•    Ability to translate functional requirements into practical hardware designs and make sound engineering trade-offs.
•    Strong understanding of the relationship between hardware and embedded software.
•    Ability to influence hardware design decisions and contribute to technical direction.
•    Hands-on engineering approach with an interest in working close to the hardware.
•    Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
•    Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines and communicate technical concepts effectively.

What Will Set You Apart
•    Experience developing products that combine complex electronics, embedded firmware, and software.
•    Experience with microcontrollers, embedded platforms, board-level design, PCB design, schematic capture, and hardware interfaces.
•    Experience contributing to system architecture or technical design decisions.
•    Interest and ability to expand beyond embedded firmware into broader software development.
•    An architectural mindset with the ability to see both the detailed engineering requirements and the bigger system picture.
•    Enjoyment of working in a collaborative, hands-on product development environment where engineers have an opportunity to influence the direction of the product.
