Industrial Painter Location: Manheim, PAShift: 1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:00 PMPay: $25.00+/hour DOE (Depending on Experience)Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on position responsible for surface preparation, coating application, and finishing of large industrial equipment, tanks, and fabricated components. The ideal candidate will be a turnkey painter who can work independently and consistently produce high-quality results while maintaining safety and production standards. Experience with plural component coating systems is highly preferred but not required. Essential Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting through cleaning, grinding, sanding, masking, and other preparation methods. Apply industrial coatings, primers, and finish paints to tanks, steel structures, and manufactured components. Operate and maintain airless, conventional, and pressure pot spray equipment. Mix and apply coatings according to manufacturer specifications and production requirements. Measure wet and dry film thickness to ensure coating quality and compliance with project specifications. Inspect finished products for defects, coverage, and overall quality. Perform touch-up and repair work as required. Read and interpret work orders, paint specifications, and production drawings. Maintain paint equipment, spray guns, hoses, and related tools. Monitor environmental conditions to ensure proper coating application and curing. Follow all safety procedures regarding paint handling, hazardous materials, and respiratory protection. Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with housekeeping standards. Work closely with production personnel, welders, and fabrication teams to meet production schedules. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Previous experience as an Industrial Painter or Industrial Coater. Ability to independently perform all aspects of industrial coating and painting operations. Experience with surface preparation techniques and coating applications. Knowledge of industrial paint systems, primers, and protective coatings. Ability to safely operate spray equipment and related tools. Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Experience with plural component coating systems. Experience painting tanks, structural steel, heavy equipment, or large fabricated products. Knowledge of coating inspection methods and thickness measurement equipment. Forklift or overhead crane experience. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators and protective clothing. Ability to work on ladders, platforms, and elevated surfaces when necessary. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to paint fumes, noise, and varying temperatures.
