Position Summary
We are currently hiring for two experienced positions within our structural steel fabrication team:
Structural Welder - $23-$30 DOE
The Structural Welder is responsible for fabricating, fitting, and welding structural steel components for commercial and industrial construction projects. This position requires strong welding skills, the ability to interpret blueprints and welding symbols, and a commitment to producing quality work safely and efficiently.
Structural Steel Foreman - $30 - $37 DOE
The Structural Steel Foreman is responsible for leading fabrication and welding crews while coordinating daily production activities, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed safely and on schedule. This is a hands-on leadership role that supports both production and employee development.
Structural Welder Responsibilities
- Perform structural steel welding using GMAW (MIG), FCAW (Flux Core), and SMAW (Stick Welding).
- Fabricate, fit, assemble, and weld structural steel components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication specifications.
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely.
- Verify dimensions, alignment, and weld quality.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Structural Welder Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of structural steel welding experience.
- AWS D1.1 Certification preferred (required if applicable to project requirements).
- Experience with GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW welding processes.
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Structural Steel Foreman Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, train, and mentor welders, fitters, and fabrication personnel.
- Assign daily work and monitor production schedules.
- Oversee fabrication, fit-up, welding, and assembly operations.
- Ensure work meets customer specifications, AWS standards, and company quality requirements.
- Conduct safety meetings and enforce OSHA regulations.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Operations to maintain project schedules.
- Complete production reports and documentation.
- Identify and resolve production challenges to keep projects on schedule.
Structural Steel Foreman Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of structural steel fabrication experience.
- Previous supervisory or foreman experience required.
- AWS D1.1 Certification preferred.
- Strong blueprint reading and fabrication knowledge.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- High School Diploma or GED.
