Position Summary
We are seeking motivated Painting Technicians at all experience levels, from entry-level candidates looking to start a career in industrial painting to experienced painters ready to take on leadership responsibilities.
In this role, you will assist with and perform paint preparation, masking, spraying, finishing, booth operations, and quality inspections on vehicle and equipment components. We provide opportunities for advancement through multiple skill levels as you develop your expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for painting through cleaning, sanding, masking, and detailing.
Apply primers, topcoats, and specialty finishes according to specifications.
Operate and maintain paint booth equipment and painting tools.
Mix paints and coatings following manufacturer guidelines.
Inspect finished products to ensure quality and appearance standards are met.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Load and unload parts and components for painting operations.
Perform touch-ups and rework as needed.
Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
Experience Levels
Entry-Level Painter
Wash and detail equipment prior to paint preparation.
Assist with masking, prep work, and shop organization.
Learn paint preparation techniques and coating processes.
Support experienced painters while developing technical skills.
Intermediate Painter
Perform surface preparation on a variety of parts and components.
Operate paint booth equipment and perform routine maintenance.
Apply primers and coatings with guidance from senior painters.
Support production schedules and quality objectives.
Advanced Painter
Independently prepare and paint components and assemblies.
Apply primers, single-stage paints, and basecoat/clearcoat systems.
Maintain consistent finish quality and appearance standards.
Perform touch-ups and corrective work as required.
Lead Painter
Serve as the technical expert for all paint operations.
Train and mentor painters at all skill levels.
Manage paint inventory and supplies.
Coordinate with paint manufacturers and technical support teams.
Assist with process improvements, quality initiatives, and production planning.
Qualifications
Previous painting, automotive painting, industrial painting, body shop, manufacturing, or coating experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to use hand tools, sanders, spray guns, and paint equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a production environment throughout the day.
