Machine Operator
Pay: $24.52/hour
Schedule Options:
Day Shift (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
Rotating 2-week schedule:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday
Week 2: Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
Night Shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
Rotating 2-week schedule:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday
Week 2: Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
This schedule provides built-in days off throughout the week while maintaining full-time hours.
Position Summary
We are seeking reliable and motivated Production Operators to join our manufacturing team. Production Operators are assigned to a specific production cell or work area and are responsible for safely operating equipment, maintaining product quality, and supporting efficient production operations.
No prior manufacturing experience is required. We provide on-the-job training for individuals who are dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.
Essential Responsibilities
Operate and monitor multiple production lines efficiently and safely.
Load gaskets and materials into production equipment as required.
Package finished products for shipment.
Perform visual quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards.
Measure and record product dimensions and production data.
Follow Statistical Process Control (SPC) procedures and take corrective action when necessary.
Maintain product specifications and quality standards under supervision.
Move bundled product, scrap material, and finished goods within the work area.
Assist with production line startups, shutdowns, and product changeovers.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operating standards.
Cut, band, and properly dispose of scrap materials as directed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Learn and understand Belling Operations and production processes.
Report equipment malfunctions, product defects, and safety concerns immediately.
Read, understand, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Relieve or assist other operators as needed.
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred
Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or machine operation experience is a plus, but not required.
Skills & Abilities
Basic reading and communication skills in English.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to accurately measure and record production information.
Ability to identify quality issues and follow established procedures.
Strong problem-solving skills and common-sense decision-making.
Work Environment
This position is performed in a manufacturing environment and may include:
Exposure to moving mechanical equipment and machinery.
Frequent exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
Loud noise levels requiring appropriate hearing protection.
Standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift.
