ASME Welder - 2nd Shift
Location: Manheim, PA
Shift: Monday - Thursday | 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (Based on Experience and Skill Level)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled ASME Welder to join our manufacturing team on 2nd shift. This position is responsible for welding and fabricating tanks and related components in accordance with ASME Section VIII Division 1 Code standards. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, dependable, and capable of producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Weld and fabricate tanks and components to ASME Section VIII Division 1 Code standards.
- Perform welding using:
- FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding)
- GMAW (MIG Welding)
- SAW (Submerged Arc Welding)
- SMAW (Stick Welding)
- Obtain required company welding certifications within 60 days of hire.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and production personnel.
- Safely operate manufacturing equipment, including overhead cranes (training provided).
- Use electric grinding and finishing equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain quality standards while meeting production goals.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and manufacturing practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 16 feet.
- Ability to work in confined spaces on an occasional basis.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous welding experience using one or more of the following processes: FCAW, GMAW, SAW, or SMAW.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
