Job Full Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Maintenance Technician to support daily production operations. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, managing metal chips and coolant, performing basic equipment maintenance, and operating a forklift as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove and dispose of metal chips from production equipment.
- Monitor, maintain, and replenish machine coolant levels.
- Clean and maintain work areas to support safe and efficient operations.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and assist with minor equipment repairs.
- Operate a forklift to transport materials, chips, coolant, and other supplies as required.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper handling of waste materials.
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Assist with other maintenance and facility support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or maintenance experience preferred.
- Forklift experience or the ability to become forklift certified.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Dependable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Experience working with CNC machining environments.
- Knowledge of coolant systems and metal chip handling is a plus.
