Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Hardscaper to join a growing outdoor construction team. This
position focuses on the installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other hardscape
features. The ideal candidate has experience working with pavers, stone, brick, and landscape
construction materials and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
Position Details
• Pay: $24.00 per hour
• Full-time opportunity
• Outdoor work environment throughout the Pittsburgh area
• Hands-on construction and landscape installation work
Key Responsibilities
• Install patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other hardscape features.
• Prepare job sites through excavation, grading, leveling, and compaction.
• Install pavers, natural stone, brick, and concrete materials.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
• Read layouts and follow project plans and specifications.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Collaborate with crew members to complete projects on schedule.
Required Qualifications
• Previous hardscaping, landscaping, or construction experience.
• Experience installing pavers, retaining walls, and outdoor features.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift heavy materials.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with grading, drainage, and site preparation.
• Ability to read blueprints and layout plans.
• Experience operating skid steers or compact equipment.
• Knowledge of landscape construction best practices.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work outdoors for extended periods.
• Ability to safely perform physical labor in varying weather conditions.
