Garage Door Installer / Service Technician

Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Garage Door Installer / Service Technician. This position is open to both entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and experienced technicians. The ideal candidate has experience using hand and power tools, a strong attendance record, and a stable work history demonstrating reliability and commitment.
Position Details
- Entry-level pay starting at $20.00 per hour.
- Experienced technicians pay based on experience (DOE).
- Full-time day shift schedule.
- Training is available for motivated entry-level candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Install residential and commercial garage doors and related components.
- Repair and replace springs, cables, rollers, tracks, and openers.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and complete service calls.
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and installation equipment.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude required.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Construction, automotive, maintenance, manufacturing, or similar hands-on experience preferred.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality required.
- Stable work history with demonstrated job longevity preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Valid driver license is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
- Ability to work on ladders and at varying heights.
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and perform physical labor throughout the day.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
