Job Title: Part-Time Janitor / General Maintenance
Location: Spartanburg, SC
Pay: $16 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Janitor/General Maintenance team member to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our church facility. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, can work independently, and is comfortable performing light maintenance tasks.
Janitorial Duties

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors in sanctuary, classrooms, restrooms, and common areas

Empty trash and recycling; replace liners

Clean and sanitize restrooms (toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors) and restock supplies

Dust furniture, ledges, and light fixtures

Clean glass doors and windows

Set up and rearrange chairs and tables for services or events as needed
General Maintenance Duties

Perform light maintenance tasks (changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, tightening loose fixtures, etc.)

Report maintenance issues or repair needs to church leadership

Keep janitorial and maintenance supplies organized and stocked
Requirements

Previous janitorial or general maintenance experience preferred

Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical work for the duration of the shift

Must be respectful of the church setting and community values

Basic knowledge of hand tools and minor repairs is a plus
