Job Title: General Warehouse Associate (Forklift Operator)
Location: 2601 Elm Hill Pike
Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced General Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts. This position is crucial for the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring the accurate and secure placement of goods.
- Move products to storage areas using the appropriate equipment.
- Stack and store merchandise in the appropriate areas.
- Inspect forklifts for maintenance and report any issues.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Perform inventory counts and checks as required.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification or proven experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) safely.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
