Join a Mission-Driven Team: Payroll & HR Coordinator 

Are you passionate about helping others behind the scenes? Our client is looking for a detail-oriented, people-focused Payroll & HR Coordinator to join our dedicated nonprofit organization. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys balancing numbers with meaningful people work and wants to make a positive impact in our community.


What You’ll Be Doing:

 Payroll & HR Systems

  • Run bi-weekly payroll with care and accuracy, making sure everyone gets paid on time

  • Keep PTO and EIB balances up-to-date so our team knows where they stand

  • Manage payroll deductions and ensure they’re properly routed

  • Be the go-to for our HR software (HRMS), helping team members when needed

  • Process Personnel Action Requests (PARs) efficiently and accurately

  • Handle quarterly and annual tax filings with precision

Compliance & Records

  • Maintain employee personnel files securely and in compliance with regulations

  • Conduct background and driving record checks with confidentiality

  • Coordinate vendor contracts and oversee drug testing programs

  • Respond to employment verifications and audits with professionalism

  • Create helpful reports for both internal teams and outside agencies

HR Support

  • Assist in welcoming new hires and guiding exiting team members through transitions

  • Support benefit programs and the broader HR team wherever needed

  • Help track open positions for budgeting and planning purposes

  • Provide timely, accurate answers to HR-related questions

  • Jump into special projects and cross-team collaborations with a positive attitude


What We’re Looking For:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (preferred)

  • At least 5 years of hands-on payroll experience (required)

  • HR generalist experience and certification a plus

  • Comfort with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and organizational skills

  • A heart for service and a team-first mindset

  • Must be 21+ with a valid Texas driver’s license and able to travel occasionally
