Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist
Amarillo, TX | Full-Time | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
$18 – $22/hr. (based on experience)
We are seeking a personable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist to join a well-established industrial distribution company in Amarillo, TX. The ideal candidate will enjoy building relationships with customers while ensuring accurate and timely payments. This role requires someone who can balance friendly communication with the ability to confidently address overdue accounts and maintain thorough records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices in a professional, courteous manner.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships while encouraging consistent communication about accounts.
- Accurately document all calls, payment arrangements, and follow-ups.
- Review invoices for accuracy and assist customers with questions about their accounts.
- Monitor aging reports and support the accounting team with collections activities.
Qualifications:
- Previous accounts receivable and/or collections experience required.
- Strong communication skills and customer-service mindset.
- Ability to maintain accurate notes and follow up consistently.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with accounting systems.
