Electro-Mechanical Designer- $18.00-$22.00 DOE
A local company in Conroe, TX is searching for an electro-mechanical designer to assist in the company’s daily operations. This is a temp-hire position in a fast-paced environment and the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drafting, designing, and reviewing electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Summary of essential job functions:
- Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and sketches of parts and equipment
- Create electrical, mechanical, and structural calculations associated with drawing preparation
- Develop symbols in AutoCAD Electrical as required for schematics
- Create detailed mechanical drawings for external structures, skids, and enclosures
- Design detailed electrical schematics and harness drawings
- Revise drawings as required for design changes and as-built customer documentation
- Assist with component selection and bills of material
- Support ongoing efforts to standardize and unify design document standards
Requirements:
- Familiar with high and low voltage power supply systems
- Knowledge of electrical automation control and component selection
- Understanding of diesel generator sets and industry standards
- Knowledge of design-related modules in material management systems
- Familiarity with generator functions and key component applications
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, CSWP or CSWA preferred
- Proficient with AutoCAD
- 2-year Associate Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
