Carpentry Helper $20-$22 DOE
Position Overview
Our client, a fabrication/manufacturing company in the Conroe area, is seeking a reliable Carpentry Helper for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for someone with basic carpentry experience who is comfortable working in a shop environment and ready to grow into a permanent position.
Responsibilities
- Accurately measure, cut, and assemble wood and crates according to specifications
- Operate saws, drills, nail guns, and other basic hand and power tools
- Read a tape measure accurately for precise measurements
- Perform general carpentry and fabrication tasks as assigned
- Follow safety protocols and shop procedures at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Basic carpentry skills and experience
- Comfortable operating saws, drills, nail guns, and hand tools
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to work in a fabrication shop setting
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. on a regular basis
- Strong reliability and attendance record
- Safety-minded with the ability to follow instructions closely
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
