Express Employment is currently hiring for Logistics Coordinator for the McAllen area.

 

Pay Rate: $13.50

 

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Complete U.S. Customs related documentation and present paperwork to the required personnel for release or admission of shipments, and travel to and from main office to warehouses within the industrial park.
• Assist inter-company bookkeeper in completing various documents including billing related items such as invoicing, time sheets, general forms, and checking.
• Provide general office assistance including receptionist duties, filing, and typing correspondence.
• Work with U.S. Customs personally and if required can transport various documents to the U.S./Mexico International bridges.
• Follows clients work instructions and complies with safety, security and quality procedures in place.
• Coordinates shipments with warehouse personnel on a daily basis.
• Maintains confidentiality of information about all goods and merchandise shipped in/out of the Foreign Trade Zone.
• Operates a variety of office equipment including calculators, personal computers, faxes, scanners, and bar-coding units.
• Interact with FTZ clientele and tenants to ensure optimal service levels.

Competencies

• Communication proficiency- must be able to read, write, and speak acceptable English.

• Bi-lingual English-Spanish ability preferred
• Proficiency with computers, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and computerized record keeping.

Education and Experience

1. High school diploma preferred
2. GED or minimum of three years previous experience as Import/Export Coordinator required
3. Valid Texas Driver’s license required
4. Preferably Foreign Trade Zone Knowledge
