Logistics Analyst
M-F 8am-5pm

$18/hour
Summary/Objective:
The primary responsibility of this position is to use analytical methods and tools to understand, predict, improve, and/or control logistics operations and processes. Responsible for data management, analyzing performance, and developing recommendations that support logistics functions. This position has no direct reports but oversees all logistics functions.
Essential Functions:

Investigate and resolve domestic/international freight issues with freight forwarders, brokers, U.S. Customs, and transportation groups.

Monitor airfreight movement from various sites into DFW/McAllen warehouses.

Resolve issues related to freight with truckers, airlines, brokers, customs, and CFS.

Evaluate systems and processes for handling freight; maintain alignment with industry standards.

Enforce and participate in training plans for logistics staff; identify and recommend process improvements.

Provide office function coverage; coordinate job rotations for even workflow or training.

Build working relationships with airlines, truckers, and forwarders.

Communicate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D) to responsible parties promptly.

Create and prepare management reports using Excel, Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, AS400, and Query.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Experience: 5–6 years in domestic/international logistics
