Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is searching for a caring and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic medical team. We are seeking an individual with good interpersonal skills, who understands the importance of providing quality customer service, and has the willingness to be flexible with duties and schedule in order to meet the needs of the patients and the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triaging patients, including taking vital signs and updating medical history.
- Managing outgoing referrals to specialists’ offices.
- Transmitting medical records upon request.
- Calling patients to confirm appointments.
- Scanning documents into patient charts.
- Discharging patients from exam rooms and preparing them for the next patient.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience in a primary care/clinic setting and with electronic health records is preferred.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Understanding of clinical situations and appropriate medical assistant interventions.
- Familiarity with general office and medical equipment used in outpatient primary care settings.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
