We are looking for a dependable and adaptable Business Office Floater to provide flexible, cross-functional support across our Business Office team. In this role, you will step in wherever you're needed most — from payment posting and billing to authorizations, collections, and front-line phone support — keeping our operations running smoothly every day.

What You'll Do

• Serve as backup support for the primary Payment Poster, ensuring accurate and timely posting of payments.
• Assist with referral authorizations, general billing duties, and collections, including verification of patient eligibility and insurance benefits.
• Answer incoming phone calls as needed, delivering professional and courteous service to patients and providers.
• Scan and index documents accurately into the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
• Monitor and maintain all assigned work queues to ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
• Participate in on-site and off-site training sessions as required to stay current with processes and regulations.
• Support the team with additional duties as assigned by management.

What We're Looking For

• Working knowledge of filing rules and regulations for major insurance carriers and programs.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, OSHA, and other government regulations governing healthcare operations.
• Proficiency with computer systems, medical software, and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
• Understanding of medical terminology as it relates to billing and documentation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work professionally with physicians, patients, staff, and external partners.
• A proactive problem-solver who can pick up new skills and workflows within 90 days.
• Competency with standard office equipment in a professional office environment.
