Medical Billing Supervisor
Full-Time | $50,000 – $60,000 annually
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Medical Billing Supervisor to lead our billing team and oversee the day-to-day operations of the billing department. The ideal candidate brings hands-on medical billing experience and a proven ability to lead, coach, and hold a team accountable. This is a key role that requires both technical billing knowledge and strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the daily workflow of the medical billing team, ensuring accuracy and productivity
- Monitor billing operations including charge entry, payment posting, claim submission, and accounts receivable follow-up
- Review and resolve denied or rejected claims in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and company policies and procedures
- Train, mentor, and evaluate billing staff; provide ongoing feedback and performance management
- Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends, errors, and opportunities for improvement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for billing-related questions from staff, providers, and payers
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve documentation and coding issues
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience required
- Strong knowledge of insurance billing, payer requirements, and the full revenue cycle
- Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT coding, and EOB/ERA processing
- Experience with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR)
- Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance regulations
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid policies
- Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment
