Counter Sales Representative
Full-Time | $18.00/hr
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Role:
We are looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused Counter Sales Representative to join our hardware supply team. You will be the first point of contact for contractors, electricians, and tradespeople coming to the counter — so product knowledge, efficiency, and a friendly, professional attitude are a must. If you know your way around electrical supplies and enjoy helping customers find what they need, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Assist walk-in customers at the counter by answering product questions and fulfilling orders accurately and efficiently
- Look up parts, check inventory, and process sales transactions in a timely manner
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, electricians, and other trade customers
- Work with the inside sales and warehouse teams to ensure orders are pulled and ready
- Stay current on product lines, pricing, and availability
- Handle customer inquiries by phone and in-person professionally
- Assist with special orders, quotes, and follow-ups as needed
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in electrical supply, the electrical trade, or a related industry strongly preferred
- Strong customer service skills — friendly, efficient, and solutions-oriented
- Ability to read and understand electrical product specifications and terminology
- Self-motivated and able to manage a busy counter environment
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Basic computer skills for order entry and inventory lookup
