Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking applicants for a Maintenance Technician position for a Tyler, TX area company! We are a full-service staffing firm working with companies in East Texas offering full-time, part-time, and temporary opportunities. While we cannot guarantee placement, there is no fee for using our services!
Pay: $17.93–$25.12 per hour, based on skills assessment.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM or 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, with frequent Saturdays.
Shift Differential: Additional $0.50–$0.75 per hour for hours worked between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM, depending on the time of year.
In this role, you will:

Work alongside Maintenance Mechanics to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.

Diagnose equipment malfunctions and identify the source of mechanical breakdowns.

Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Read and interpret complex blueprints, sketches, layouts, diagrams, and mechanical schematics.

Assist with equipment repairs and adjustments to minimize downtime.

Identify mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repairs.

Support routine and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently.

Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
We like to hear from candidates with the following:

Previous experience in industrial maintenance or mechanical repair.

Strong working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

Experience troubleshooting industrial machinery and diagnosing equipment breakdowns.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaborate with Maintenance Mechanics.

Flexibility to work second or third shift and frequent Saturdays.
