Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking applicants for a Manual Machinist position for a Tyler, TX area company! We are a full-service staffing firm working with companies in East Texas offering full-time, part-time, and temporary opportunities. In this role, you will:

Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and grinders to machine precision parts.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, samples, and work instructions.

Plan machining sequences and measure, mark, cut, and shape materials according to specifications.

Adjust machine speeds, feeds, and tooling to ensure accurate machining.
-
Monitor equipment during operation and make necessary adjustments.

Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.

Identify defective parts and maintain accurate quality control records.

Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs.
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
We like to hear from candidates with the following:

Previous experience operating manual machining equipment.

Strong knowledge of manual lathes, mills, and grinders.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machining specifications.

Experience setting up machines and adjusting speeds, feeds, and cutting tools.

Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring equipment.

Strong mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude.

Ability to work independently and produce parts within required tolerances.

Excellent attention to detail, dependability, and commitment to quality and safety.
